I have heard from four people now about The Leader's fantastic weekend. I suppose I will just copy part of what i wrote to LJ about it--
"...but yes, I did hear about The Leader--I am happy for them all but it feels so long ago, and what I am doing now is so different, that its almost like "why are you calling me?" I share in their joy but don't necessarily have much personal joy...after being so vested in the paper for almost four years, its hard to be like...oh yeah. I remember...yeah, this would have been a big deal to me, then. I am not saying I am above it--but its hard to identify. I guess I am mostly happy for Brittany and the editoral board; remember when any praise was high praise?
Its not like I am mad that Ron and Toni and Erick called to tell me (all in their personal styles), but its hard to identify after so long. I suppose its just drudging up memories of easier times...or what have you."
Thats it. It was nice to read about it on the webpage I set up for them. Oh the quiet things that no one ever knows...

Meanwhile, car stuff is moving slowly--had to take the rental out for another week. It looks like my parents are going to buy the car for me (wha?) and then I will pay them...they claim my interest rates will be too high?
So I will see what happens. What car, though I haven't any idea.
Preparing for the four am wake up tomorrow again. Yikes.

Today I wore an orange t shirt, a vintage sweater from the 60's that was my moms back in the day, a pleated olive green mini skirt with black leg warmers and ribbons at the top to match the skirt. As Ramsin said "Cherie, you just look adorable. The skirt, the ribbons...its just amazing."
Awww. Fashion love for SEIU.
