It certainly feels like fall has been ushered in. I am happy but sad - summer is over and fall is a mere layover to the winter coat of cold and snow that lasts here in the midwest a solid 5, even 6 months.
However, there are a few things that I enjoy about fall - the foliage, the fall lines, drinking hot tea and hot cider, going to apple orchards, and of course, preparing for the holidays. I was actually singing frosty the snowman today. I know its way too early (hello September 15th) but I can't help it. I am a christmas addict.
Egg nog too. I just found out that my local grocery store sells LEFSE. not just any lefse but Mrs. Olson's just like in Minnesota. So happy about that. I am going to go get some tonight.
So delicious.
