Every time I read an article detailing how religion did play a role in Bush's Supreme court pick, scary lady Harriet Miers, I shudder.

How can the Supreme Court continue to uphold the law of seperation between church and state if the President himself picks a candidate in part to her religion, negating the seperation then and there? Every time I hear about President Bush leading a prayer service, I cannot believe that we have elected an administration that continually challenges and at times violates the laws of this country - but this latest development, where Bush seems almost proud of his choice, is absolutely unacceptable.

The Sox game was more fun than I thought. Our seats were literally like four rows up from third base. I loved it despite the loss. The super fan sitting next to me was the best part, though. He looked about 20 something, and the first thing he said to me is "you're sox fans, right? Okay good, then we'll be okay." He also had this book which had charts of the field for each inning. He marked down the each players name and diagramed each play for each half of each inning. and just like my friend Lena who is the ultimate Packer fan, he watched the game WHILE he was listening to the radio on like a portable ipod looking sony radio and he got so into it, it was great.

I had funnel cakes and nachos and popcorn. YUM.

In other news, I am super excited about this walmart watch website that i have been reading about and contributing my comments as needed. Its amazing how many people still justify the type of governing (if we can even call it that) that President Bush and his adminstration have been torturing us under for so long. I think this is just the old SEIU organizer in me.

So I know that I probably shouldn't feel so...sad about this image but I am.

Tonight I am going to the Sox game. I am sorta meh feeling about it. I think it was more of me feeling cornered by my boyfriend's family who offered up the tickets be/c his dad works for a corporation that has box seats to like every possible imaginable sporting event and he has access to them all the time. Crazy. Anyway. I checked out the food at US Cellular and I see funnel cakes and that works for me.

After the rudest man alive called and bothered our whole office last week (but mainly me) he has so far sent two letters, called like 8 times, and sent over a huge like 8 pound box of Fannie Mae chocolates AND lunch from Corner Bakery for the whole office.

Crazy. And I have a belly ache from the chocolates.
