Actually left the airport with my car and luggage at 930

Was back on the road post gas and coffee at 1045
arrive in Glen Ellyn at 230am
hotel at 330am post some onion rings at an all night diner.

Seeing Eddie was...amazing... There's something about literally jumping into someone's arms and then watching them hold you and smell your hair from a view where you're completely wrapped up in them, knowing that feeling was all you'd wanted for two weeks. Just being able to touch the curves of our faces...and the best part was that we nuzzled and burrowed so much that I felt like a puppy...It was pure heaven. It carried me away, and waking up next to him was the only thing I really needed to sustain a level of happiness. I missed him terribly as he missed me. He said to me that being apart for two weeks was bad, and that he couldn't fathom a month...its a good thing that will never happen. I swear I just won't let it... He encouraged me with my frustrations about this job...and without that "you'll work hard, you're a good person" generic bullshit that most people recycle...everything in its right place (radiohead).

Went back to the local today one last time. It was sorta sad to know that the end of my labor organizing, although it was paused in April, is really over. It was a good run, all things considered. They promised i'd have a job come post election so thats encouraging...but I think I may go elsewhere....preparing for the LSAT may be my full time job until the exam.

So things are...fantastic. Its great to be back on solid ground after the flying/driving/etc...and the whole "comfort in being carried" with Eddie is capital. I just can't believe that this is still the high we both get after a year and then some...

California was alright. Not very fun when its sorta work related and time consuming...the golden gate bridge was nice. Amoeba Records was very nice. Haight-Ashbury was nice...Hearing Kerry again was...nice. Whatever. I believe, I believe in a better America as good as its promise, yeah yeah yeah. The logistics of this job is stripping away my passion.

Saw Julies apartment in Naperville and brought her a coffee tin from Crate and Barrel. Its a great space and its very Julie...i miss seeing her as often as I used to...she always makes me laugh, especially when she shows me selected clips of Jennifer Coolidge in A Mighty Wind (ahaha)...We went to Bennigans which is a crap restaurant really. Oh well, you never know...but chains are never really that good... It was all greasy and nasty which doesn't sit well with the ulcer and I got sick when I got back to the hotel...so naturally, I am hungry.

Feeding time.

Tomorrow is Heritage Fest (scary ass memories) to fetch an iron on tshirt with a picture of Eddie and I courtesy of Julie and her fundraiser for First Congregational where she's a youth minister. Eddie says he plans to get one of me, and then iron on "Girlfriend"...I'll have to do the same with him and put "Boyfriend" across my chest...this should be a good time. He's never had a funnel cake either, and has never been to one of these "fests" (I guess in the UK and Mexico and Vegas and wherever else he lived, they don't have these which is so, so sad to me).
Tomorrow is a first. Then we drive back to MI together...and then its the fourth and the days will keep passing until we get on with this election and I can come back for good...
