My boss came back from Scotland yesterday. I thought he was Scottish but it turns out he isn’t which makes the whole thing better; especially the subscription to Scottish times.

He brought back these ginger chocolate biscuit things which I made the mistake of eating; mistake because they’re quite good and I wanted to eat like 4 more but stopped myself. I am at work, after all. He’s a nice guy; its nice to have him back.

Work is going along, as is studying for the Lsat. Eddie and I are still happy, still transitioning…everyone is living together and/or getting married...the pressure is palpable. Our "plan" is what makes me feel more like a human and less like a twenty something marriage robot.

In other news, MI ACT is closing down: evidently its pretty clear that to spend money and people power in a state that will likely go Kerry is finally proving futile, and they’re deploying people out to Ohio and the like. I got a few emails from old co workers; they all seem a little shocked and sad, which I can see. It still makes me happy about my decision.

Saw the directors cut of Donnie Darko. I wasn’t as disappointed as Eddie but it wasn’t what we’d expected I guess. I was upset we wasted two and a half hours in a theater.

This week, work, and the debates! Thursday, so excited. Getting lots of mail about this 40 some days mark; planning on taking a few days off to go work in a battleground state; maybe I should hit up like Las Vegas (hey, Nevada counts)..it’d be too lonely. Florida, perhaps? Or more realistically, Wisconsin. No work on election day to encourage us to be poll watchers.
The Chicago Historical Society is doing this big debate event with people from the Trib moderating a discussion before hand; I cannot wait.

Been busy catching up with friends; Will is moving out of his apartment and its like the end of an era...makes me reminisce about college, esp. that defining senior year...i still remember going out on Thursday nights and coming back early on Fridays for Con. Law...went out for tapas with Erick, who always makes me laugh; his apartment is really close to my old place off Taylor. Too bad I moved back up to the northside or else we'd be neighbors.
Eddie and I got tickets to The Faint. I haven't been to a show in ages at the Metro--it will feel strange, no doubt.

In other news, scary email from weirdo who I went to college with prompted me to tighten my locks; how he got my email (an address I never publicize) I will never know. Its been almost two years; we never spoke once, and I had no idea he even knew about me, minus the scary staring and a few cryptic comments he made to my ex and that was creepy enough. Leave me alone.

Trying to decide if I want to go home this weekend or rent a car and drive around...an Ikea trip still needs to be made.
